We have always tried to have an environmentally friendly approach with all our work practices. We recycle wherever we can, give our green waste to the chickens and reuse your delivery boxes to reduce waste.
For some time, we have been looking for a more environmentally friendly replacement for the delivery boxes. This will likely look like single use delivery boxes that you can put in your recycling and compost bins. This change is currently in the works, however due to COVID-19 and in the interest of keeping every one safe, we need to reduce the handling of our packaging as much as possible, between yourself, our delivery drivers and our staff. Rest assured, we are taking the highest level of precautions and our drivers are sanitising their hands in between each delivery.
Unfortunately we need to advise that as of tomorrow we will no longer be collecting and reusing your delivery box and gel packs.
We are rushing to transition to a more sustainable solution of single use, environmentally friendly delivery boxes, however due to COVID-19 we are experiencing some delays. So for now, please put your styrofoam boxes in the bin after your delivery. You are welcome to reuse the gel packs in your home or they can be poured onto the garden.
