You may know Sarah Shanahan for her amazing organisation and de-cluttering skills, but did you know she also does shopping tours? I had the pleasure of joining a shopping tour and it was such a relaxed and fun day!
One of the most wonderful things about Sarah is that she is super relaxed and lovely. You could expect your tour guide to be loud and hold centre stage, but Sarah just gently guided us through our day. We met at Brick and Mortar at Norwood, a fab local spot to have a coffee and check out local artists with handcrafted goods. Winner of Best Coffee and Finalist of Best Cafe in the Eastside Business Awards 2019, it was a great place to start!
Next stop, eccola on The Parade, Norwood. This shop has recently been extended and has a beautiful array of clothing and homewares. I was instantly drawn to the most drop dead gorgeous linen I have seen for a while! eccola will now be added to my list as a go-to place for when I need a gift.
From eccola we headed up the freeway to the Adelaide Hills. Our first stop was 29 Milan where we were absolutely spoilt by Karen who made us the most delicious morning tea. Meandering around the store I was able to pick-up a gorgeous handbag as a gift for my beautiful mother in-law (I know, I am one of those lucky ones who loves their mother in-law!). I also loved the hand painted silk scarves. I picked up a number of lovely pieces and beautiful textiles. We laughed as a fellow shopper carried out a free-standing lamp! What would be next? We were also gifted with beautiful gift bags.
At Hahndorf, we stopped in at Jack and Sarah. A number of clothes were purchased! Being a chicken lover, I also found some adorable little egg holders for the kids. You can't go home empty handed!
Lunch was at Hahn and Hamlin. A first visit for me and certainly won't be the last. The log fire was burning and it was such a cosy place to have lunch. The food was delicious and beautifully explained to us by Erica, who is clearly passionate about food and what they are creating! Love that!
After lunch we meandered a few doors down to Storisons. What a jam packed store full of beautifully designed goods! We were gifted with a rose milk for the bath and it was heavenly! I also found an array of beautiful gifts.
Back on the bus we drove through the Autumnal leaves and headed to Balhannah to stop at Living By Design. A favourite shop of mine. We were greeted with a glass of bubbles and exquisite chocolate.. I don't think any of us left without some to take home to enjoy. Living By Design has gorgeous homewares, as well as jewellry, clothing and kitchenware.
Feeling totally spoilt with a bus that was just about bursting with shopping bags, we headed down the hill to Walkerville to stop in at Gitanjali, where we were spoilt even further with champagne, chai lattes, chocolate and gift bags. Gitanjali is a warm and welcoming store filled with colourful homewares and beautiful flowers.
Shop with Sarah, provides a leisurely day out. I loved each shop we went to, the delicious lunch and I met some gorgeous women of all ages as well. If you are looking for a lovely day out to reset, relax and enjoy, pop this on your list. Further information can be seen on Sarah's website sarahshanahan.com.au
Have a fabulous week ahead and enjoy the beautiful rain! So snugly!
